According to the U.N. there is no more time to waste in taking environmental threats seriously. Zefiro, Chicago’s first zero-waste company, is leading the charge locally, and joins us at Aubergine to show us how.
In this two hour class you will learn how to make your own eco-friendly beeswax wraps. Beeswax food wraps are an alternative to single use plastic film (Saran Wrap) and can be used to cover bowls, bread, half eaten fruits and vegetables all the while extending their shelf life due to their breath-ability.
All of the wax used is sourced from Illinois.
The hands on time will be anywhere from 20-40 mins including cutting your fabric to size and melting the wax onto the fabric. The remainder of the time will be used to meet like minded individuals.
The class $20 fee includes 3 wraps ( choose your fabric).
